The One Health Office of the Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar (ICBAS) of the University of Porto presented, on 8 April at the Casa da Cultura in Seia, the book “One Health , a contribution from the University“The initiative took place at the invitation of the Seia Municipal Library and marked the conclusion of the programme of events celebrating World Health Day, organised by the Municipal Council.
During the session, the One Health approach was highlighted as a key strategy for addressing current health challenges. Excerpts from the book were read to illustrate the contribution of ICBAS lecturers and researchers to the development of an integrated and sustainable vision of health, linking the human, animal, and environmental dimensions.
The book presented is the result of a collective effort by the academic community of ICBAS and reflects the institution’s commitment to promoting knowledge and raising public awareness of the importance of this holistic and transdisciplinary approach.
